Rare first version. The model 3107, also known as the Sevener / the Series 7, designed in 1955 by the Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen, manufactured by Fritz Hansen, is the most iconic, practical and versatile design ever and the most sold chair of the post-war era. Inspired by the plywood experiments of the US designers Charles and Ray Eames, the model 3107 is a further development of Jacobsen’s Ant chair from 1952 and its name stems from the series number, 3107.
After the launch at the design exhibition H55 in Helsinki 1955, it premiered as part of the interior at the modernist Rødovre Town Hall in 1956, as well as Jacobsen used it in many architectural projects. Its organic and distinctive silhouette is constructed by pressure-moulding plywood. It is lightweight and stackable. Unlike the Ant chair, it has a simplified seat shell shape, four legs for more stability and is available in wide range of finishes and options, including armrests, casters, writing-table attachments and brackets for lining up chairs. In continuous production by Friz Hansen since 1955, the model 3107 is still sold today and used in public and private settings around the world.

初期の希少バージョン。通称「セブナー（Sevener）」または「シリーズ7」として知られるモデル3107は、1955年にデンマークの建築家・デザイナー、アルネ・ヤコブセンによってデザインされ、Fritz Hansenによって製造されました。戦後最も象徴的で、実用的かつ汎用性の高いデザインとして知られ、販売数も最多の椅子です。

アメリカのデザイナー、チャールズ＆レイ・イームズによる成型合板の実験に影響を受け、1952年にデザインされたヤコブセンの「アントチェア」をさらに発展させたのがこのモデルです。「3107」という名称はシリーズ番号に由来します。1955年、ヘルシンキで開催されたデザイン展「H55」で初公開され、翌1956年にはモダニスト建築のロズオーレ市庁舎（Rødovre Town Hall）のインテリアにも採用。その後、ヤコブセンは自身の多くの建築プロジェクトでこの椅子を使用しています。

有機的で特徴的なシルエットは、プレス成形による成型合板で構成され、軽量でスタッキングも可能です。アントチェアと異なり、座面の形状はよりシンプルで、安定性を高めるために脚が4本になっています。また、アームレスト、キャスター、筆記台、連結金具など、多彩な仕上げやバリエーションが存在します。1955年以来、Fritz Hansenによって継続して製造されており、現在も世界中の公共・個人空間で使用されています。

本作は、オリジナルのシートシェルとフレームを備えた初期バージョンです。製造スタンプあり（裏面に刻印）。
