This is a symbolic altar object. A sculptural clay ceremonial pot lid from the Ewe tribe of Ghana, West Africa. Looks interesting from all sides with mystical two human figures. Features two offering hands on each end and snakes in relief in the middle. It is used as a personal altar, decorated with white kaolin pigment which is a symbolic connector to the dream world. They are important visual symbols of another world.
Condition: In good vintage condition. Some signs of wear consistent with age and use.
